Illinois. Ted was a World War <strong>II</strong> U.S. Air Force Veteran. He married Ellen Patricia<br />
McHugh on September 7, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan and three sons were born to this<br />
union: Edward Kopper Jr., Joseph McHugh Kopper, and William Jaggard Kopper. He<br />
owned several auto dealerships in the Chicago area before moving to rural <strong>Hanover</strong> in<br />
the 1960s. He later owned auto dealerships in Dubuque and Galena. Ted died June 26,<br />
2001 and is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, rural Galena.<br />
Kraft, Earl J. was born April 11, 1906 in Fargo, North Dakota and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Richard Otto and Caroline (Johnson) Kraft. He attended Roosevelt Elementary and<br />
NDAC High School in Fargo. He worked 50 years at NDAC as the campus night<br />
watchman. Earl died April 14, 2003 in Fargo and is buried in <strong>Hanover</strong>’s Evergreen<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Kraft, Edward R. was born July 20, 1922 in Fargo, North Dakota and was the son <strong>of</strong><br />
Richard Otto and Caroline (Johnson) Kraft. He attended High School in Fargo. He was<br />
a U.S. Army World War <strong>II</strong> Veteran. Ed had worked for the U.S. Post Office until he<br />
retired and he lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> for many years. Ed died January 16, 2010 and is buried<br />
in Evergreen Cemetery.<br />
Krahn, Lucille (Hunt) was born May 26, 1921 in <strong>Hanover</strong> and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Lee<br />
Charles and Sophrania “Fronia” (Ensch) Hunt. She graduated from <strong>Hanover</strong> High<br />
School in 1938. She married Herbert A. Krahn on December 5, 1942 in Savanna and<br />
one son was born to this union: Harry Krahn. Lucille was employed at Apel’s Super<br />
Value in Dubuque, Iowa and later at D-J’s Foods in East Dubuque. Lucille lived in East<br />
Dubuque for many years, and died there on August 23, 1989. She is buried in the East<br />
Dubuque Cemetery.<br />
Krause, Archie Martin was born March 21, 1932 and was the son <strong>of</strong> Earl William and<br />
Dorothy Mattie (Graves) Haney. He married Jacqueline Lois Koss and four children<br />
were born to this union: Sharon Jean (Krause) Gawron, Robert David Krause, Steven<br />
Francis Krause, and Michael Joseph Krause. He lived in Chicago, Rolling Meadows,<br />
and Des Plaines before he moved to <strong>Hanover</strong> to be near his sister Adeline (Krause)<br />
Mulholland. Archie died September 8, 2009 and is buried in All Saints Cemetery,<br />
Mount Prospect, Illinois.<br />
Krippendorf, Berneice Helene (Redington) was born March 2, 1919 in rural Apple<br />
River, Illinois and was the daughter <strong>of</strong> Michael Francis and Mary Mayme (Gable)<br />
Redington. She married Clifford Wesley Krippendorf on January 5, 1937 in Freeport<br />
and five children were born to this union: Shirley Mae (Krippendorf) Holm, Dorothy<br />
Darlene (Krippendorf) Orth, Judy Ann (Krippendorf) Wild, Sally Kay (Krippendorf)<br />
Reifsteck, and LeRoy Rodger Krippendorf. They lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> from the 1940s until<br />
the early 1960s, and Berneice worked at the Savanna Army Depot for 15 years. They<br />
later moved to Stockton and she worked at Atwood Automotive for 8 ½ years. Berneice<br />
died August 20, 2002 and is buried in Ladies Union Cemetery, Stockton.<br />
Krippendorf, Clifford Wesley was born June 16, 1912 in Apple River, Illinois and was<br />
the son <strong>of</strong> Fred Albert and Nellie Ellen (McLarrah) Krippendorf. He married Berneice<br />
Helene Redington on January 5, 1937 in Freeport and five children were born to this<br />
union: Shirley Mae (Krippendorf) Holm, Dorothy Darlene (Krippendorf) Orth, Judy<br />
Ann (Krippendorf) Wild, Sally Kay (Krippendorf) Reifsteck, and LeRoy Rodger<br />
Krippendorf. Clifford worked at the Savanna Army Depot for a number <strong>of</strong> years and<br />
they lived in <strong>Hanover</strong> from the 1940s until the early 1960s, when they moved to<br />
