According <strong>to</strong> organizational workplace relationship expert Patricia Sias, peer coworker relationships exist<br />

between individuals who exist at the same level within an organizational hierarchy and have no formal<br />

authority over each other. 31 According <strong>to</strong> Sias, we engage in these coworker relationships because they<br />

provide us with men<strong>to</strong>ring, information, power, and support. Let’s look at all four of these.<br />
