ODEMODÉ EGBÉ ASIPÁ: PARA ALÉM DO “ENSINO
DA HISTÓRIA E CULTURA AFRO-BRASILEIRA”

RESUMO
Este artigo traz uma reflexão sobre a Lei 10.639/03, que insere a temática
da História e Cultura dos afro-descendentes nos currículos da rede oficial
de ensino no Brasil. Em virtude das demandas da Lei, apresenta a
perspectiva pedagógica do Projeto Odemodé Egbé Asipá - Juventude
da Sociedade Asipá, afirmando e analisando a sua linguagem pedagógica
como capaz de compreender o que considera um dos maiores problemas
da sociedade brasileira: o recalque à afirmação existencial, à
identidade dos afro-descendentes e à diversidade étnico-cultural presente
em nosso contexto.

ABSTRACT
ODEMODÉ EGBÉ ASIPÁ: TOWARDS BEYOND THE “AFRO-
BRAZILIAN HISTORY AND CULTURE TEACHING”
This article brings a reflection over Law 10.639/03, which inserts the
thematic of History and Culture of the Afro-descendants in the curriculums
of the official teaching network in Brazil. Due to the requirements of the
law, it presents the pedagogical perspective of the Project Odemodé
Egbé Asipá - Youth of the Asipá Society, affirming and analyzing its
pedagogical language as capable of understanding what it considers as
one of the greatest problems in the Brazilian society: the repression of
the existential affirmation, of the identity of the Afro-descendants and of
the ethnic-cultural diversity present in our context.
