In the last ten years, 90 non-associated gas fields and 50 associated gas fields<br />

have been discovered, adding 922 bcm to proven and probable reserves<br />

(Figure 17.6). This is almost equivalent to the volume of all gas discoveries<br />

before 1997 (1 040 bcm). The vast majority of reserves additions since 1997<br />
