1642: time- i know they must see 100's of people daily. just gets frustrating sometimes. : O )nothing can be done about it though and i understand1653: not much except better attitudes.1661: Make sure everyone has the same knowledge about programs, tuition, financial aid, loans, programs, etc. The staff at HCC caused me to wait an extra full year beforeapplying for the Radiation Therapy Progran b/c of missing transcripts that I repeatedlyasked my advisor of and was told that "everything was in order" when it was not. Longstory short, the answer I got back from the "decisioning committee" was: "on behalf ofthe school we apologize for any inconvenience". Truth be told, HCC has the worstadvising staff.1669: Everything1683: i have no complaint1692: I actually got more information from my counselor. After waiting an 1 1/2 for an advisorshe seemed pushed for time, as if she was trying to get to the next person. The questionsI did get answered was very broad and didn't help my personal goals. But the counselortook their time each time I met with them and I really had a better feel of what direction Ishould go in...1698: Hire more advisors to avoid big lines.1705: Extend Hours Training1715: Provide additional advisors to decrease response wait time1718: more advisor with much better knowledge of academics1721: Less wait time; more use of email1730: they dont need to change it, i think its fine the way it is1737: The wait period during peak times.1738: Help and not try to rush. Make more avaiable1741: none.1743: move faster or hire more people, its horrible that students have to wait at least 2 hours tosee someone for only 5 minutes.1746: A staff with more experience and advice.1747: More advisors at the beginning of the semesters.1755: Les time of wait, the second time I was waites for more than 1 hour.1763: we need more trained advisors. no one has ever taken an interest in showing me differentclasses for my career path and as a result i wound up with a liberal arts degree instead offocusing on the path i truly want to go, thus wasting time and money. Get some peoplewho care about the success of students!1764: I DON'T KNOW I'VE NEVER SPOKE TO ANYONE IN THAT DEPARTMENT1766: reduce the waiting times1790: In my one experience I was given an ID card, but not really advised about anything.1791: the wait is way too long, i recieved 3 different advice on the same question, i think thereshould be at least a common answer on a question, instead of 3 it becomes very confusing1792: take fewer breaks and personal phone on campus time.1797: I think they need more time for students, and they need to love their job.1805: they need all need to know the correct information. everytime i go in i am given differentinformation everythime. i still dont know what class are nessary to graduate, dur to thefact that usf changed theirs.Student Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q15: Advising – Page 129
