CAMPUS = PLANT CITY13: Staff should help ALL STUDENTS AT ALL CAMPUS period! Even knoweverone have their favorites,and student are friendly to other students.46: check the background of instructors BEFORE hiring them. Get better seating forclasses, something from this decade, at least. Have more printers available in thecomputer lab.68: HCC should offer ALL the courses listed in the Course catalog and DELETE allcourses that do not exist. I.E. I wanted to apply for SOIL SCIENCE class but gotthe message "No classes meeting the search criteria have been found." Same withZoology as well. Those subjects should be removed if they are not actuallyoffered.82: There needs to be more experienced teachers. You should perform backgroungchecks on them. Why would you want to hire a teacher that has sued every prioremployer?114: More exciting classes and teachers that actually teach167: Less internet involved, more help from a human. that is qualified168: HCC is in desperate need of nursing teachers. My first nursing teacher was anoverweight woman that could not even talk to the class without sweating andgetting out of breath. She would turn red and look like she was about to faint. Shemissed over two weeks of school. She could not teach. You had to make anappointment to see her in her office. And you had to wait at least 2 weeks just tosee her. She would eat food during our class time. She was always 15-30 minuteslate for class. She would tell the class she was missing class the next day to go ona job interview which happened twice. She never answered anyone's emails andshe did not know the material that she was teaching to the students. And [thefaculty member] is still teaching. It is not fair to put students through that.176: Check the educators true knowledge of teaching.182: Keep a close watch on Instructors that are prone to complaints...233: I never received a diploma from the nursing program. They started the programearly without notifying the students in advance. Please tell me how that isappropriate. We started two months earlier than was listed in the catalog. In noway is that good business. It caused a great deal of trouble and financial hardshipfor all of the students. Can you please tell me if this occurred in any of the otherprograms except the RN Bridge program. Why were we discriminated against!We had no class pictures and were offered a pinning before and a pinning wellafter we graduated, not when we graduated. Very sad. My small LPN program dida much better job.255: Prepare the students better. For instance the nursing program... it is unlike anyother classes we have ever taken. the students should be more prepared andpossibly have the opportunity before hand to meet and learn what to expect...266: The nursing program should employ educators with a background in education.275: employ decent instructors, who care and do not bully students309: I found the nursing program to be highly unorganized.
