647: Would like to see more courses offered on distance learning. I am a working mom with 4children. I am able to continue school because of distance learning. It allows me tomulti-task. For example, I can fold laundry and watch a video - if I'm distracted, Isimply rewind the movie as many times as I need too. I take my book with me and readwhenever and where ever I can. If I'm a passenger in a car . . . I can read If I don't get toreading for a few days . . . I don't panic I can catch up at my son's soccer practice. Itwould be great if we could do exams online and turn in papers online as an attachment.Also, there is very little interaction between students and instructor online. If there is a question about the work e-mailed to the instructor and theresponse is 2 or three weeks later it is of no value. Itis not very user friendly and the graphics were very retro. There has to be somethingmore up-to-date and easier to understand out there. I withdrew passing and am taking aseated course in spring.1155: The voicemail system is inadequate and reaching a live person by telephone is almostimpossible. When redirected electronically to voicemail you then receive message thatvoicemail box is "Full" so it is impossible to even leave a message! I live more than anhour from any one campus and I find this very frustrating and discouraging, especially ina distance learning environment!1215: This does not reflect on the course or the instructor. Both are great. I probably will nottake another online class because of my own sense of disipline to be able to handle thecourse.
