882: I don't know if at other campuses it is like this, but at the one i go to it is a mess, i wasgiven diff. information and at one point they counld not find my papers. but at the endthey come through and help me out with what i need889: I had my own sholarship, so when I went to turn imy information in the woman was NOTfriendly, she was very rude and treated me if I was an idiot. They need to be morefriendly!891: Unsure right now still working with this one.897: There is a lack of communication and organization in the financial aid office. It would bebeneficial if there were a more reliable paper trail, even better, accurate electronic data.898: have better willing to help staff, especially [a staff member], she is very rude, does notmake eye contact, does not provide informqtion, is not helpfull, does not make theprocess easy, I believe people like her should not work at Hcc, and from what I haveheard from my other friends they agree with me.905: Staff needs to be friendlier!!!!!!!!!910: This is the worst office of all. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I sat inthat office for two hours after signing in only to find that that person that I needed to seewasn't even in that day...uuuuurrrrr! Then I came in another day and asked if that sameperson was in to see her that day and was told she was. I signed in, sat down and waitinganother almost 2 hours and when I was called, she "stepped out for lunch" withoutrealizing I was waiting for her....UUUUURRRRRRR! This office and all of the staff in itneed Customer Service skills training. They are miserable people and make it amiserable experience. They do not offer options or information that would be helpful tostudents. I am glad I had the opportunity to give you this feedback because there wereseveral occasions that I wanted to write a letter to someone about it! Please, please, fixthis area!!!!!920: It's the Financial Aid office that is the worst! The people are impersonal, rude, andseemingly are not there to assist the student body through this grueling process. Myexperience with this office has been one of extreme frustrations. It appears the right handdoesn't know what the left hand is doing. I am told one thing by a staff member andsomething totally different by another staff member. I am following the direction that Iwas given by a staff to later find out it was inaccurate information. Examples: Thedownstairs office will advise of something totally different than the upstairs offices andvs for the same question or situation. Complete frustration and aggravition from astudents prespective. Another example: The whole card and come back later for an appt.in the F/A office at the beginning of each semester is a complete joke and a waste of yourstudent body's time. I have witnessed on several occasions while I was standing in line, other students le aving frustrated and unserved. Being an older student I have had theexperience of attending other colleges with a smooth and very helpful administrativeatmosphere and the process as a whole flows effortlessly. HCC is seemly the mostunorganized community college in the adminstrative department. If it wasn't for theexcellent professors and instructors at this college there would be little redeming qualitiesfor a student to continue there higher educational experience here at HCC.935: Anytime I have been in Financial Aid, everyone has been very pleasant. I would like tobe able to make an appointment when I need to meet with a Financial Aid Advisor. Dueto the fact that I work, it is very hard go early to sign in for an appointment just to have tocome back later.Student Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q20: Financial Aid – Page 173
