egistration process is impossible because there is no one helpful to talk to about anyquestions or concerns about admissions or especially financial aid. The Ybor campus wasextremely helpful and the Mr. Santana in Financial Aid in the Ybor campus made thewhole process a lot more easier and was able to correctly answer all of my questions.Everyone I asked at the Dale Mabry campus gave me misinformation or didn't know theanswer. I think that considering that a lot of community college students are full-timeemployees would be helpful in creating a more up to date way of registering eachsemester. With all the technological advancements we have, it's crazy that you can't evenget one question answered and have to jump through a million hoops just to get enrolledeach year.607: I feel that the Ybor Campus needs improvement with financial aide assistance.Sometimes we have to wait 1-2 hrs jsut to talk with an advisor.621: The Arts Campus of Ybor City should have an admission staff that understands Music isa major and should familiarize themselves with what that means in terms of helpingstudents plan their schedule. I was told by my advisor I didn't need to take music theoryuntil my other classes were done. That is not true and if I had not taken my concerns toKenneth Hanks, director of the Arts and Music Program at the HCC Ybor Campus, Iwould have been very behind in reaching my goal to be a music teacher. I find itappalling and unprofessional to have advisors at the Arts campus who have no clue as towhat programs actually exist there. My experience was not unique, by the way- several ofmy fellow music students had similar experiences.672: make it faster, and open enrolment earlyer692: Offer more of the core classes that are beneficial towards the student's degree during theSpring and Summer. Stop prolonging the student's time at the school. For example... Istarted in the Fall of 2004,I work full time during the day, I come to class at night fulltime, I have not taken any breaks since I started, and I am due to graduate in 2009. Itmakes no sence to me that it takes five years to receive a two year degree.695: you're doing a great job now.696: no comment698: Be prompt and follow through on there tasks and duties and a employee handling thepaper work. i have heard as a student that has been here since 2003. that studentsinformation has not been processed or it was lost or misplaced and that shouldn't behappening here. it is cricial that students paper work and information is proceed whenturned in and another thing that can be done is feed back explain what is taking placewhen imfomation is turned in and given back for a response or request many studentsdon't know what is being done or why it is being done. that's all for right now, thanks andHave a great day. :)706: When it's registration time it takes hours and hours to get through. so faster pace whenregistering students or put everything online, but make sure the system is actuallyworking707: the wait time and having to go back and forth between depts.709: more advertise for up coming events or changes.747: the staff could be a little more courteous. Hours of operation could be longer as wellespecially on Fridays. There are many students whose hours at work vary from differenttimes along with having other priorities. Some requests like certification could beavailable to request online instead of having to go to the school to fill out and then haveStudent Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q3: Admissions – Page 45
