CAMPUS = PLANT CITY13: I was pleased with my experience with orientation, so I have no comment aboutimporvement.46: discontinue it.76: it was too long and gave a lot of useless information92: Nothing, it was great.114: Meet with the advisors167: They were very helpful in the process of signing up for my classes.168: The orientation was wonderful. I learned how to register for classes and received all ofmy test scores. I was shown around campus. Any questions that I had were finallyanswered at that time.176: Not make it so boring and lengthy249: make it faster255: I was not given any info on extra stuff outside of class info. I wish I would have heardmore about clubs/organizations that were available. Also most of what I heard I knewfrom the admissions process.266: The person running the orientation could speak with conviction in terms of helpfulresources for new students. I believe that this would help to alliviate some of stressassociated with starting college (i.e. choosing a career, planning a feasible class load persemester, etc.) by letting the students know that there are people on campus that care tofascilitate student success. As a new student, I felt very overwhelmed and the orientationleft me even more things to worry about. Looking back, it would have been nice to leaveorientation knowing that I wasn't alone in feeling overwhelmed and that there werepeople on campus willing to help me figure it all out.274: It would be nice to have every student leave with a class schedule made so that way itwould be less stressful for the admissions center.345: NA374: The orientation is probably more helpful to high school graduates. As an adult, I foundalot of the information repititious. I am sure it's helpful to new kids attending.379: no comment383: I took mine online...so no comment392: make it more interesting467: Very informative488: i dont know490: n/a.515: Perhaps weed out unnecessary information so that the orientation does not last so long.By doing this students would be able to maintain focus and concentration.517: all i have to say is i already knew everything they told me644: The only suggestion I have, is that if [a staff member] is providing the orientation, that henot be nearly as arogant as he was when I attended!697: I think they needed more people to help the students pick their classes, all that wanted toat that time. It was one lady trying to help all the students at one time. Other that that itwas good.725: give students more notice when there is an orientation coming upStudent Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q6: New Student Orientation – Page 69
