658: I do no know what to say to this question.665: I believe having teachers who care about their students would help improveeducational opportunities. I have had one teacher(who taught ethics) makeunethical remarks on my behalf, and when I emailed the teacher, I never got aresponse back. Also this semister, I was forced to drop a class because I was inand out of the hospital for 2-3 weeks and the teacher still failed me, even when Ihad the doctors notes. I find this very poor teaching on the teachers behalf690: Unfortunately, I have encountered several sub-par educators within HCC, one soremarkably bad that for the first time ever, I sought to complain to theadministration of a school about a professor. It was made very difficult to do thisby the administration member I spoke to, and eventually, tired of trying to findher, I gave up.720: [A faculty member] in CGS1000 (63514) was one of the worst teachers i haveever had in college. He never taught anything. Always was sitting on hiscomputer. Gave us a page number every day to do. Everything we had was fromthe book. Never lectured. Hard to learn anything by just going threw the book anddoing the examples.729: By making students aware of the courses that are offered at the Junior Collegelevel that are required in order to enter universities programs.743: make all classes available on every campus. It is very inconvienient for studentsto drive to every other campus to catch a class. i myself drive over 180 miles eachweek just to go to classes because I cannot get classes where I need them.746: Offer many more online classes769: more night time classes770: introduce scholarships772: Expand the classes....offer more classes esp. for students majoring in medical791: Education wise the school is good,as far as services, and the staff I have not beenvery happy.792: I realize that community colleges are a clilche' further extension of high schoolbut HCC can be more. In order for HCC to be more like an overall college theProf's should treat students more rigidly. I believe that increasing the Prof'srigidity will actualize students full potential in later college life. Also, rigidityweeds out students who I have seen to not either care about their educationalopportunities at HCC and/or prepares students for University standards.886: nothing893: Have more classes of the most pick classes at all of the campus.902: In time, possibly expand on the foreign language courses available for students atBrandon campus.911: Make sure teachers are teaching rather than letting students teach themselves outof the book931: N/A940: With the lunch time classes daily. Maybe four days a week you would still getyour four hours of class time and more people would be able to attend classeseven if they can only accomplish one per semeter at least they would be workingon their degree.Student Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q74: Publications and Communications – Page 476
