people don't seem to care, and it's extremely bothersome. It's hard to get anything actuallyaccomplished at the HCC financial aid office on Dale Mabry.428: make the process more faster430: Employees are always rude, and it seems they don't enjoy their job434: a staff who is more willing to help438: the financial aid office is the worst to deal with. they have no patience for questions andare generally rude. i think that you should be able to make an appointment and thereshould also be someone to help direct your questions. you should be able to ask aquestion and if the answer is quick then they should help you. however if it is extensivethen you can wait or make an appointment.451: everything! Every time I go in there it is chaos. Even with an appointment card I was inthere for 2 1/2 hours! The staff is very non-friendly and they never know what's going onwith my finical aid. Every time I am in there they have me sign the same papers over andover again; they have no clue what's going on, they are completly unorganized, and theyseem to have concern for actually helping the students! I have always had a problemassociated with financial aid every semester! Something needs to be done to fix this, and[a staff member] has been one of main problems; she never gets it right! And she neverreturns and phone calls are emails!465: more staff471: Over the summer when i went to fill out my paper work they were very helpful and gaveme more papers to get additional grants483: you really dont want to know!501: You must get people that are willing to help and much friendlier. Those people are rudeand impatient and not willing to help at all. This has happened on several ocassions.502: Firs off, the wait to see a FA Advisor is horrible regardless of the time of day, week, orsemester. There aren't enough advisors for the number of students needing FA assistance.Secondly, the sign in sheet is horrible, half the time you either get skipped because theycan't read your writing or they loose their place on the sheet. With the exception of a few,the Advisors are so overworked, they take it out on the students. I have been to FA Officeat least 3 times this semester, and not ONCE has anyone smiled, and truly offeredassistance. They simply ask, what do you want... and then give you the answer and saynext. I actually had one person who got upset because I "should have already known theanswer". This isn't the level of service I would expect from an institution such as HCC.505: You can never get anyone to answer the phone in this office. Whenever you are luckyenough to get someone to answer the don't have a direct answer to your questions. Whenyou fill out paper work for F.A. and then hand it they always tell you "that's it, you haveno more paperwork to fill out". Then 2 weeks later you get a letter in the mail saying youhave more forms to fill out that they either forgot or just plan out right didn't give you.Most students have jobs and even kids and can't drop everything to run down to the F.A.office because they forgot to get you to fill something out. They need to be moreorganized. Maybe have packets with all paperwork in them to give to all students that arelooking to sign up for F.A., it would be less headache for the students and trust me thatsome of the teachers give us headache enough with the way the teach.506: update the information on forms filled out more regularly... have been asked to fill outsome forms 2-3 times due to being misplaced or not entered into computer..Student Satisfaction Survey <strong>2007</strong> – Q20: Financial Aid – Page 168
