140: so far I have been satisifed with most fo the teachers, it is the staff.. especially inadvising.. that seems to be uptight. even security is friendlier then they are.142: Pay attention to teacher reviews!146: Have good instructors162: This format is not sufficient to express my full opinion. If the program I am inwere offered somewhere else I would take it there. It is not so much the school, but the program itself. It is very unorganized and frustrating. The program (healthsciences) has been around for several years and still has elementary problems thatan established program should have solved many years ago. There are majorerrors on tests, the syllabi change weekly, every semester we fall behind 2-3weeks, assignments are returned with merely a check mark and no grade, tests arenot returned graded for 3+ weeks, students are not permitted to keep their tests tostudy from for finals. I could go on and on but do not feel anything will everchange. Prior students from various graduating classes have voiced the sameopinions and nothing has changed over the years.181: No comment200: Encourage everbody to join the Honors Institute201: I think could improve the method of teach the some teachers.217: hire proffesional instructors for the Nursing process I program at the Dale Mabrycampus234: Now that [a faculty member] is no longer teaching in the Nursing program atHCC-DM my experience has drastically changed. It has gotten so much better!239: Compared to my experience with other colleges, I am somewhat disappointed inthe opportunities at HCC. The nursing program has some very qualifiedinstructors, yet, I have to admit that I have had instructors which have NObusiness instructing this level of education. I wonder what I have paid my hardearned $$$ for.242: Fire everyone in the financial aid, registration, and advising department.243: I have a B.S. degree and have only taken one class at H.C.C.. I am enrolled in theNursing [program. I have NP1. My instructor is [name of faculty member]. She isunorganized, unaproachable and seems angry most of the time. She is notavailable to review past tests and has given contradictory information on severaloccasions. I have witnessed her verbally abuse [names of three individuals]. Hermethods are NOT conducive to a healthy learning environment.248: offer more majors, like psychology, that major is not available and I really need it.251: Nothing.285: no suggestions at this time287: N/A307: Currently I am not happy with my teachers or classes. I feel needed a degree totake the intro architecture courses. Sometimes just because someone is a architectdoes not mean he is a teacher310: I am satisfied with the educational opportunities HCC provides. I would like tosee it become more like SPC and offer some limited Bachelors courses.338: Better Chemistry professors at DM campus. This is my worst experience at HCC.My GPA is over 3.8, and I am honors student. I havent recieved terrible gradesfrom these courses but the teachers make the material more difficult than what itStudent Satisfaction Survey 2007 – Q74: Publications and Communications – Page 481
