when people realize where we go to school...everyone knows how lacking thisnursing program is. I wish I had known.1075: The professors are great! The ancillary staff is wonderful! I could not havepicked a better facility to restart my education.1181: My experience with HCC was great until I entered the Nursing Program. I can saythat I have been nothing but disappointed ever since. Some of the teachers areunapproachable. The worst part is that when student go to a higher power theyget punished for it when they go back to class. I also can not tell where all of thelab fees are going, when you take a look at the plant city nursing lab it is sad.1218: Employ more teachers like Ms. Russo, to teach nursing. Have the teachers teachus what we need to know rather than send us on a wild goose chase for info fortests.1284: havent started yet1339: To offer more field of study.1352: dont know1400: n/a1508: Their shouldn't be any favoritism between students and professors if you don'tpass one student because you refuse to be unethical in giving them the points theyneed to pass then you shouldn't give it to another and be unethical. [A facultymember] refused to be unethical and give me two points to pass nursing schoolbut she went ahead and gave another student who also needed the same amount ofpoints to pass nursing school. Why are you willing to give one student what yournot willing to give another?1524: Hire better Nursing Instructors1574: obtain better qualified instructors for nursing program. My NPIV instructor atPlant City was horrible, by far the worst instructor I ever had this semester.Please see evaluations from our class on this instructor-- Work to keep the goodinstructors and show appreciation of the good ones you do have. the program isloosing a very good instructor to another school (Mrs. Russo) and staff there treatsSally Finney horrible and does not recognize what an asset she is to theprogram!!! Keep Mr. Egan, Mrs. Vawter, Mrs, Nappy. They are wonderfulinstructors. The program director and other staff should be willing to listen to thestudents when they have problems with the program, We actually pay to attendand expect an excellent education, which I did not get in NPII or NPIV. I had toteach myself or we had to group teach ourselves. The program leaders should bemore willing to listen to the students in the trenches and not blow us off when wehave problems.
