Working Draft8.4.27 Safe Bank Transactionsa. The “Safe Bank Transactions” functionality enables the Disbursing Officer to makeadjustments to the cash amount in the Disbursing Accountability Summary Report (DASR) inorder to change the balance reported by the <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>Cash</strong> application. This functionality will beused primarily during the “End-of-Month” process to reset the DASR to a zero balance, asdescribed in paragraph 8.9.n. In addition, this functionality can be used to create adjustments tothe DASR when an out of balance condition exists. This action should be used as a last resortand only as a temporary fix to continue with the “End-of-Day” process when the out-of-balancecondition cannot be rectified. The Disbursing Officer should go back and complete all requiredactions for an out of balance condition, as stated in Chapter 6 of the DODFMR Volume 5.b. To initiate the transaction, the Disbursing Officer, or Deputy, clicks on the “SafeBank Transaction” link on the <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>Cash</strong> application.NC SOP Ver 1.12 Chpt 8 Disbursing.doc 8-83 16-Aug-07
