The <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>Cash</strong> cardcombines chip technology and a magnetic strip to virtually eliminate the need for Sailors andMarines to carry cash. The chip-based electronic purse provides for a cashless environmentwithin the lifelines of the ship. The magnetic strip on the back of the card provides for pre-paiddebit access to the funds in <strong>Navy</strong> <strong>Cash</strong> accounts at more than 23 million MasterCard acceptancelocations in over 210 countries and territories globally and more than 1,000,000 ATMs in overNC SOP Ver 1.12 Chpt 1 Overview.doc 1-1 10-Aug-07
