satisfaction respectively. The negative outcomes are discomfort for<br />

the patient and risk for the nurse.<br />

Conclusions<br />

Concept analysis is a pragmatic and rigorous approach to defining<br />

concepts that can make a significant contribution to knowledge and<br />

nursing practice. Advocacy has been illuminated by means <strong>of</strong><br />

concept analysis.<br />
