Introduction
This study aimed to explore how coronary heart disease (CHD)
patients’ opinions would inform the design of an information booklet
for promoting healthy lifestyle behaviours. CHD morbidity and
mortality in the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom are among
the highest in Europe. Lifestyle behaviours, such as smoking and
physical inactivity increases the risk of CHD. There is currently no
clear information on how best to design an information booklet
which addresses issues surrounding lifestyle behaviour change
identified by patients.
