Summary of key findings
The key findings in this project are two-fold: recommendations on
staffing establishments and recommendations on key areas for
process improvements in the clinical area.
The presentation will expand and examine the key
recommendations and areas for process improvements as a result
of this project. In addition the presentation will outline the
implementation of these findings and recommendations in practice.
Conclusions
The completion of a nursing workforce planning project is a very
worthwhile venture in order to examine the current processes of
nursing activity, which leads to the identification of areas of process
improvements. Encouragingly, this project revealed the value in
examining how nurses work in order to uncover areas for
improvement which can be easily implemented to facilitate
improved patient care and efficient use of resources.
