Thcfe he not together, nor are they all of equal goodnefs ; but the yearly
produceof them to the Prince exceeds 100,000 rix-dollers.

'\. Thefe lands include,
1. The county of Naßaii-Weilburg, on the Lahn, having a filver and
copper mine-work, and abounding in flone mixed with iron, and woods. In it is
IVcilburg, a handfome town, ftanding on an eminence on the river Lab?,
over which it has a bridge of flone. The Prince's palace here contains fome
very elegant apartments, with a fine garden belonging to it, and a chapel
anfwerable to the whole. All the roads near the town lie in a dired line,
and are planted on each fide with a row of trees.
In the neighbourhood is a large Menagerie, with a pleafure-houfe ; and
on the other fide of the Lahne, lies an eftate of the Prince's called Wehrholz.
Selters, a village fituate on the Lc.lm, near which is a mineral fpring ;
but this is not to be confounded with the celebrated medicinal fprings of
Loiv^er- Selters.
Frehisfels, a village, where once ftood a feat called Sonnenberg.
Efchcrjhaufen, a village. One half of the caflle here, together with its
appurtenances, was purchafed in Anguß 1724 by Prince Charles, of Sabina
Lamberta, baronefs of Friejms, defcended of the Efeh family; and the archbiihop
of Worms invefted him with it
at a legal male-fief.
Philipjlehi, a caftle feated on a mountain, but lying in ruins.
2. The prefecturate of Vveilmunster. In it lies
Weihnnnfler, a country town (landing on the Weilbach. This country
afi-brds not only a great deal of iron ore, but has alfo fome filver and copper
mines.

3. The prefecturate of Lahnberg, fituate on the Z-isi'«, con fills of
Lahnberg, a country town, and three villages, held in common by NaJfau-Weilburg
and Naßau-Dietz.
4. The prefedurate of Mehrenberg, once a lordlliip, which Prince
John I, count of Naßau obtained with his firft wife. In it is
Mehrenberg, a country town, and
Barig,
a village.
The prefedurate of Kleeberg, belonging both to Naffau-Weilbiirg and
Reße-Darmßadt, has been mentioned above amongft the pofi^elTions of
Heße-Darmßadt.
6. The prefedurate of Huttenberg was formerly alfo held in common
with Hejfe-Dartnjladt, but on a divifion of it in 1703, Najfaii-Weilhurg
