2. Ifenfcbnibbe, or the Iron-Schnippe^ is a ftrong houfe or caftle, feated
on the Milde^ not far from Gardelegen, and has been poffefled by the family
oi Albenßehen fince the year 1343.
3. The jnrifdidion of Ärf'/^d', comprizing in it
Kalbe, a fmall town, feated in a fwampy iverder, or ifland, on the Milde,
and environed by that river. This place, in the feodal letters and other
records is ftiled a town, but in other refpeäs is only a village of about eightyfive
üre-placcs. In 1324, the family of Krochern difpofed of it to that of
Aheji/ltben. The ftrong old caftle here is now ruinous. At this place is
alfo a fpiritual infpedtion
belonging to the noble family of Alvenßeben.
Innerhalb icierders, lying towards Salzwedel and Arjidfee, together with
twelve entire villages, and part likewife of three others ; as alfo Außerhalb
mocrdcrs, lying near Gardelegen., and ten whole villages ; among which are
Great-Engerjen, Berge, Schenkenhorfl, &c.
Bijmark, a fmall town of feventy-five fire-places, and lying about half a
Gennan mile's diftance from the Biefe. This place had formerly a fort.
The Lords of Ahenßeben adminiller the upper and lower tribunals at this
place by their colledtive judges. In 1676, Bißnark was entirely confumed
by fire.
The jurifdidlion of Zichtoiv, the tribunal of which, as alfo the judge belonging
thereto, has its refidence at the noble feat of Zichto-w. The villages
belonging to this jurifdiilion lie
before the wood of Dromling.
3. The Lords of jfagow are poflelTed of Great and Little -Aulofen, as alfo
of Scharpenhufe, Strefaii, Oevelgunne, Pollitz.e, Kalberioifch, tJchtenhagen,
Kohlenberg, Vielbaum, Garze, Kruden, Natewifch and Gcrhoß, all villages belonging
to
the infpedlion of Seehaiifen.
4. The Lords of i)/ywrtr^', ever fince the year 1562, at which time they
ceded the prefedlurate of Borg/lall to the eledoral houfe, are pofiTclTed of
Krevefe, a noble citadel, or palace, on whofe fite formerly ftood a Benedi^i?2e
nunnery, which after the Reformation was fupprefled by the Sovereign.
To this citadel belong fourteen villages, together with fix feats in the
Wifehen.
Schonhaufen and Fifchheck, villages which formerly conftituted a prefecturate.
Thefe villages lie indeed beyond the Elbe, in the circle of J erichau ,
in the dutchy of Magdeburg, but defcending to the Lords oi Bijmark, were
difmembred from it and added to the Old-Mark.
5. The Lords of Schenken are pofTefTed of Flechtingen, near which is a
confiderable foreft, as alfo of Boddenfehl, Lemfehl and Haßelburg.
6. Luderitz, appertaining to the Lords of Luderitz.
7. yeetze, which belongs to the Lords of Jeetze.
8. The Lords of Kannenbergsse pofi'efl^ed of Krumbke, Bußche, Iden, Berge,
Be'verlaak and Rohtenhof.
