Rem. The borough oi Little-Heibach, which, till the year 172 1, belonged
to this prefefturate, was fold to the princely-houfe of Lowenßein-
Wertheim. See above, in the county of Wertheim.
9. The half of the feigniory and prefedturate of Breuberg : concerning
which fee above, under the county of PFcrtbei}n.
Rem. Tht^rdedLux^Li&oi Dan?ienberg-Seeheivi, which, in the year I C04,
was wrefted from the houfe of Erbach, during the Bavarian war, by William,
Landgrave of iif/Zf? ; and again, in 1510, reflored in a great meafure
to it, though as a Heßan fief, was fold in the year 17 14, after many dilputes
about it, by the houfe of Erbach to Heße-Darmßadt for the fum of 207500
florins. It confifted of the following places : viz. Damie/iberg, or Tannenberg,
a citadel, which was laid wafte in 1399 ; of Seeheim, a village fjtuated
below it ; of Bickenbac.h, alfo a village, near which was fituated the
citadel of Bickenbach, which was the family feat of the ancient lords of
Bickenbach ; and likewife of the villages of Alsbach, Bedenkirchen, Balkhauj'en,
Greai-Rohrheim, °Juge7iheim, Staffeln, Malchen and Wurzelbacb. Thefe
places belong, to this very day, to Zwingenherg, which is an upper-prefecturate
of Hejfe-Darmftadt. See above, p. 75. The houfe of Erbach has
been poflefTed alfo of a fhare in the fortrefs of Habizheim and its appendages ;
but this fortrefs, in the years 1530 and 1664, was alienated to others, and
at prefent is principally poflelTed by the houfe of Lowenjlein-Wertheim.

§. I. /^F the proper feigniory of Limburg, Homantis heirs, in the year
^-^ 1749» publidied a chart, which in the Atlas of Germany conftitutes
the feventy-fecond, and took its rife from the meafurements which the
Lords of the county caufed to be made ; but might .and ought to have been
much more accurate than it is.
§. 2. This feigniory lies in Sivabia, being environed by the dutchy of
Wurtemberg, the provoftlhip of Ekanngen, the principality of Onolzbach and
the territory of the Imperial city of S-wabian-Hall ; and in its greatefl: extent,
from fouth to north, is almoft five Gertnan miles, but from weft to
eaft only four and a half. The feigniory of Speckfeld, which belongs to it,
lies in Franconia, being environed by the princely county of Schivarzenberg,
