VII. The Bailiwick of
The commanderies belonging to this bailiwick lie partly in
Germany and
partly in the Netherlands, and the bailiwick itfelf received its rife in the
year 1220.
1. The commandery of Old-Biefen, in Latin Domus Juncetana, lies in
the bifliopric oi Liege. See Vol. iv. p. 333.
2. The commandery of New-Biejen, or fimply Biefen, is feated in the
Imperial city of Cologn.
3. The commandery of Maaßrickt, in which is a Teutonick houfe
and a church, and the feat alfo of the provincial-commandator of this
bailiwick.
4. The commandery of Sierßorp, in the dutchy of JuUcrs. See above,
Vol. iv. p. 403, where the miftake made concerning it is to be correded.
c. The commandery of Bcrnß^eim.
6. The commandery of Genwiert, in the dutchy of Brabant, as alfb its
Meyerey of Bois-k-Duc, lying not far from Hehnont.
7. The commandery of Beekevort, alfo fituated in the dutchy of Bra"
bant-, in the Louvain quarter, and province of Sihen.
8. The commandery of Gruterode and Feucht.
9. That of Beckenfurt.
10. The commandery of Oedingen and Holt.
