burg, for the fum of 49,300 florins in gold. In the year 1600, the bifliopric
filed, on account thereof, for a voice in the circle of Franconia, but could
not prevail. Afterwards it inverted the Barons of Scho}ibom in fuch a
manner with this feigniory, that they were thereby empowered to avail
themfelves of the title, and all the honours and dignities which the Lords
of Rcicbchbcrg anciently enjoyed, and promifed alfo to anfwer in their name
for all the taxes of the Empire. The Barons of Schonborn addreflcd themfelves
upon this, in the year 1684, to the circle of Fraticonia., and fought
to be received, on account of Reictehberg, to the degree of States cf the circle,
which was alfoetfeded : but, as by virtue of the recefs of the Diet of
the circle for this year, their reception was granted on this condition, that
they fhould promife to procure for themfelves immediate eftates, and fuffer
them to be charged with a proportionable matricular-evaluation; thebilhopric
of Wurzburg paid the Roman months and chamber-terms for this feigniory
and it was reckoned in the Wurzburg upper-prefedurate of Rötungen^
already mentioned, whence it appears that the prefent Counts of Schonborn
enjoy only the Reichchberg voice at the Diets of the Empire and Circle, and
taice their title therefrom without being ad:ual poffefTors of the feigniory
jtfelf At the Diet of the Empire they enjoy alfo, on account of this feigniory,
a voice in the Franconian college of Counts.
It comprizes in it,
1 Reichelsbcrg, or Reigelsberg, a mountain-citadel feated in the neighbourhood
of the litttle town of Aub.
2. The villages of Balkrßpelm, Burgood, or Burgenroth, together with
Bihebreren on the Tauber, &c.

the county of Caßell and the Omlzbach prefedlurates of Brixenßadt and
of WiefentheidWts between the bifhopric of Wurzhurg,
Little-Lankheim. The Counts of Dernbach, who were poffeffed thereof,
became extindl in the year 1697, "po" which it devolved to a line of the
houfe of Schonborn. The Counts of Schonborn-Wiefentheid are pofTefled, on
account thereof both of feat and voice at the Diet of the Empire in the
FrancoJiian college of Counts and likewife in the Circle of Franconia; and
to each Roman month contribute the fum of four florins. What they pay
