Laufy a fmall town, feated on the Prgiiitz, and containing a citadel, with
about two hundred and thirty-feven hearths. At the time this place was
difpofed of in 1307 by Godfrey of Schhiffclberg to the town of Nürnbergs
it was only a vilhije, which the Emperor Charles IV. eredled into a town.
Leimhurg and Ritckcrjdorf, two parochial-villages.
Peringerflorf, a!fo a parochial-village and citadel belonging to the Tücher
of Shnmeljuorj.
JJnterburg, or the Lower-Burg, a citadel, belonging to the heirs of the
Dorrcr, and which was anciently an Imperial foreft and chace citadel, as
fome records executed there by the Emperor Wenz-el prove.
Bnm/i, a fmall village, fituated not far from the Rothenbach, and near
which anciently ftood an Imperial foreft and chace-citadel, which in 1449
V as deftroyed in the war of the Marggrave Albrccht.
4. The adminiftratory-preff(Ilurate of Herrsbkuck, which is reckoned
the largeft, and with refpecfl to its criminal jurifdiction extends over four
admi liftration-offices, which are,
I. The adminiftration-office of ii/(?rr/Jrwf/^ iti'elf, containing in it
Herrßruck, a fmall town, fituated on the Pegfiitz, and containing a citadel,
with about two hundred and twenty-five hearths. Formerly this
place alfo contained a provoftfliip, which the Pfalzgraves of the Rhine difpofed
of in 1529 to the town of Nürnberg.
A.'ten-Sittenbach, a village, containing a filial-church, which is incorporated
into one parirti with Hcrrßruck.
Pommehbrun and Aalfeld-, both parochial-villages.
Kirchen-Sitteiibach, alfo a parochial-village and citadel, which the families
of Volkamer and Pßnzing are poffefled of in traft. To this parilh
belong alfo the filial churches of Upper-Krumbach and Alfaltern.
Vorracb, a parochial-village and citadel, belonging to the family of
ScheurJ^ and lying on the river Pegnitz, appertaining alfo in part to this adminiftration-office,
and partly to the rural adminiftration-office of Felden.
Eßhenbachy a parochial-village and citadel, belonging to the family of
Ebner.
Reichenßhiüajjd-, a parochial-village and citadel, which is the property of
the family of Furtenbach, and lies on the river Peg?iitz.
Henßenfeld, alfo a parochial-village and citadel, beIongii>g to the family
of Pßnzing. The citadel is a Bohe}}iian fief.
2. The adminiftration-otnce oi Reicheneck, containing in it
Reicheneck,
a citadel, feated on a high mountain, and belonging anciently
to a confiderable noble family, which adminiftered the office of cup-bearer
at the court of Bavaria. The Emperor Charles IV. brought this citadel
from the Dukes of Bavaria to the crown of Bohemia, but afterwards ceded
it again to the fons of Lewis by way of mortgage, from whom at length
il came. to. the town of Nürnberg.
