far from Langenjaha.

new genealogical, fchematical. Imperial and political-manual, mentions by
name the prefent provincial-commandator thereof, it muft be ftill in being,
though I am not able to give any account of it.

§. I. ^'^ANSSON, Schenk and Valk, have published land-charts of this
county, but their charts are greatly furpafled by that publifhed by
Homann^ heirs in the year 1743, which were delineated by "J.G.Kufil under
the infpedtion of 'Joh. 'Jacob Zink, aulic-counfellor of Saxe-Meinufigen. This
chart, in the Atlas of Germany, conftitutes the feventieth.
§. 2. This county terminates, to the eaft, on the principalities oi Coburg
and Schwarzenberg ; to the north, on tho(e of Gotha and Eißnaci ; to the
weft, onthe landgravate of Ä^^ and the oifhcpric of Fulda, and, to the
fouth, on the bifhopric of Wurzburg. Its extent, from north to fouth, amounts
pretty nearly to fix German miles j and, from weft to eaft to about five and
