2.3 Objectives of the Study

i. To identify the motivational factors in selecting teaching professional as career choice
of teachers
ii. To identify the importance of selecting teaching profession.
2.4 Research Hypothesis
On the basis of the pervious research studies and insight into general literature,
the following hypotheses were drawn to be tested by the present study: There is no
significant difference to explore the role of motivational factors in the professional
development career choice of teacher in the academic institutions of Rawalpindi. There
is no significance difference in the status professional development career choice of
teacher in the academic institutions of Rawalpindi in rural as well as urban areas.
3. Procedure of the Study
The main purpose of this study was to explore the role of motivational factors in
the professional development career choice of teacher in the academic institutions of
Rawalpindi. For this, survey was conducted to get the opinions of the respondents. Hence
the nature of study was descriptive type.
3.1 Population
The population of this study consists of secondary and higher secondary school
teachers from district Rawalpindi. At least B.A/B.Sc and B.Ed qualification was the basic
criteria for the population.
3.2 Sampling Procedure
For selecting the sample, the populations were identified on the basis of its
characteristics and function. A random sample technique was used for the selection of the
sample consisting of 30 secondary schools of district Rawalpindi as the sample. The
selecting and size of the sample of 15 urban and 15 rural schools were selected out of 30
secondary schools as a sample of the study. Three working teachers from the each school
were taken under the study. So, in this way 90 teachers were selected among the 30
schools.
3.3 Research Instruments
For gathering data questionnaire was selected as a method because observation and
measurement could not serve the purpose as the purpose of the study reported to the
identification and analysis of the perception of teachers.
A structured questionnaire was developed on the basis of teachers mentioned earlier.
The questionnaire was revised on the basis of expert opinion. Against each statement,
