iii. More than 60% teachers responded that they joined the teaching profession to enhance
the prestige, public relation and social interaction with society.
iv. Teaching is a task of give and take. In this way the teachers got real satisfaction by
enhancement of knowledge and continue their studies and professional development
growth keeping in view that it is profession of Prophethood as well as development
of the Islamic society.
v. Under-employment is brain drain and a big problem in our country. Due to
unemployment there are number of teacher‘s under-employment and looking for
attractive and charming situation.
6. Recommendations
The researchers now make the following recommendations in the light of findings of the
study for making the teaching profession more attractive for the prospective teachers.
i. The study results revealed that there was lack of chances for teacher‘s professional
growth. Therefore, it is recommended that heads may provide ample chance for
professional growth. Heads should allow the teachers to attend seminar debates and
study tours. Seminar debates and study tours can be arranged with the help of
different departments and organizations. Further funds may be generated through
research work for professional growth.
ii. Mostly the talented persons do not want to join the teaching profession because there
is too little pay and low social status in it. If these two things are removed, the
attitude of those who dislike teaching may be changed for the better people as well.
iii. Salary scales for teachers should be revised according their performance in curricular
as well as co-curricular activities, co-operation with staff and keeping in view the
annual reports (ACRs) of the teachers.
iv. The teachers should make efforts to organize a teacher association at all levels which
should set professional standard and professional Ethical code in our country and to
fulfill their rights and duties accordingly.
v. Teacher is a role model and they should not be impatient but should keep directing
and guiding him/her with affection and interest as their attention could yield
remarkable result.
vi. Teachers play an important role in the personality development of the students. So
teachers should give fully attention to the students to raise in them the constant
desire.
vii. It was found that motivated teachers fulfill their responsibilities by exerting
maximally. Therefore, it is recommended that motivation techniques may be
included in detail in training course of teachers and a special training course may be
arranged for educational managers, administrators and supervisors for achieving
their competency to use motivation techniques appropriately.
