If expenses <strong>of</strong> a substantialor extraordinary nature are or will be required to fulfil the request, the Partiesshall consult to determine the terms and conditions under which the request will beexecuted, as well as the manner in which the costs shall be borne.“22. States Parties shall afford one another the widest measure <strong>of</strong> mutual legalassistance [, within the conditions prescribed by the domestic legislation] in investigations,prosecutions and judicial proceedings in relation to the crimes or <strong>of</strong>fencescovered by <strong>this</strong> Convention, as provided for in article 2, paragraph 1.“[1 bis. Without prejudice to the other limitations to the obligation to assist setforth in <strong>this</strong> article, mutual legal assistance also shall be afforded where the requestingState Party is investigating a serious crime and suspects the involvement <strong>of</strong> anorganized criminal group.]“[1 ter. Each State Party shall, to the fullest extent possible under its relevantlaws, treaties and arrangements, provide prompt and effective cooperation to anotherParty for proceedings brought by a State Party against a legal person under article5 <strong>of</strong> <strong>this</strong> Convention.]“[1 quater. No State Party shall be entitled to undertake, in the territorial jurisdiction<strong>of</strong> any other State Party, the performance or discharge <strong>of</strong> any functions forwhich the jurisdiction or competence is reserved exclusively for the authorities <strong>of</strong> thatother Party under its domestic laws or regulations.]“2. Mutual assistance to be afforded in accordance with <strong>this</strong> article may berequested for any <strong>of</strong> the following purposes:“(a) Taking evidence or statements from persons;“(b) Effecting service <strong>of</strong> judicial <strong>document</strong>s;“(c) Executing searches, [freezing] and seizures;“[(c bis) The seizure, confiscation and surrender <strong>of</strong> property;]“(d) Examining objects and sites;“(e) Providing information, evidentiary items [and expert evaluations];
