It will be necessaryto ensure, once the language of the convention is finalized, that any necessary modifications to the language of theconvention are encompassed by the mutatis mutandis language in article 7. If it is determined that the corresponding provisionsin the convention are not broad enough to meet the needs of the protocol, then additional provisions will need tobe added to the protocol. The provisions in the convention on, for example, extradition and mutual legal assistance, protectionof witnesses, measures to enhance cooperation with law enforcement authorities and law enforcement cooperationshould be applicable to the subject matter of the protocol. If it is determined that the provisions of the convention on theseissues are not adequate to cover the needs of the protocol, then additional articles should be added to the protocol.455
