Article 10 673“(i)Export country information: the name <strong>of</strong> the country <strong>of</strong> export;“(j) Certificate cancellation (applicable when certificates are cancelled): thedate, the competent authority’s address, telephone number and facsimile number, thesigning <strong>of</strong>ficer’s name and signature, the quantity <strong>of</strong> firearms, parts and components,ammunition, explosives and other related materials (listed by classification anddescription) received to date pursuant to the import certificate;“(k) Additional descriptive information concerning the firearms or parts andcomponents: barrel length, overall length, the number <strong>of</strong> shots, the manufacturer’sname and the country <strong>of</strong> manufacture.“In-transit shipment authorizations“5. Each in-transit shipment authorization shall contain the followinginformation:“(a) Country information: domestic in-transit authorization identifier; the country<strong>of</strong> issuance, identified by name or by a unique country code; the date <strong>of</strong> issuance;and competent authority identification, including the competent authority’s name,address, telephone number and facsimile number;“(b) Identification <strong>of</strong> the applicant: the applicant’s name, address, country <strong>of</strong>residence, telephone number and facsimile number and the representative’s name andsignature if the applicant is a commercial or government body;“(c) Authorization <strong>of</strong> the in-transit shipment: for each country, the in-transitshipment requirements <strong>of</strong> the competent authority including the authorized ports <strong>of</strong>entry and exit; expiry dates pertaining to authorization; any other specific informationconcerning the shipment while in that country, such as the periods during whichthe shipment is anticipated to be in bond and the anticipated location <strong>of</strong> the shipmentwhile in bond; any restrictions or conditions imposed by the competent authority; andthe authorizing <strong>of</strong>ficer’s signature and seal.”Eleventh session: 2-28 October 2000Notes by the Secretariat4. Delegations based their comments on the text <strong>of</strong> article 11 <strong>of</strong> the revised draftprotocol contained in <strong>document</strong> A/AC.254/4/Add.2/Rev.5, which was the same as that containedin <strong>document</strong> A/AC.254/4/Add.2/Rev.4.Bolivia (A/AC.254/L.256)Bolivia proposed that paragraph 2 (b) <strong>of</strong> article 11 <strong>of</strong> the protocol should beamended to read as follows:“(b) Where applicable, the transit States have given notice in writing that theyhave no objection to the transit, without prejudice to provisions regulating practicesand bilateral agreements favouring land-locked States”.
