Article 12 685organizations], in conformity with their respective domestic laws and treaties applicableto them, relevant information on matters such as:“(a) Authorized producers, dealers, importers, exporters and, whenever possible,carriers <strong>of</strong> firearms, their parts and components 11 and ammunition;“(b) The means <strong>of</strong> concealment used in the illicit manufacturing <strong>of</strong> or traffickingin firearms, their parts and components and ammunition and ways <strong>of</strong> detecting them;“(c) Routes customarily used by criminal organizations engaged in illicit traffickingin firearms, their parts and components and ammunition;“(d) Legislative experiences, practices and measures related to preventing, combatingand eradicating the illicit manufacturing <strong>of</strong> and trafficking in firearms, theirparts and components and ammunition; and“(e) Techniques, practices and legislation developed to combat money-launderingrelated to the illicit manufacturing <strong>of</strong> and trafficking in firearms, their parts andcomponents and ammunition.“2. States Parties shall provide to or share with each other, [and with the relevantintergovernmental organizations,] as appropriate, relevant scientific and technologicalinformation useful to law enforcement authorities, in order to enhance oneanother’s ability to prevent, detect and investigate the illicit manufacturing <strong>of</strong> andtrafficking in firearms, their parts and components and ammunition and to prosecutethe persons involved in those illicit activities.“3. States Parties shall cooperate [among themselves and with the relevantintergovernmental organizations] in the tracing <strong>of</strong> firearms, their parts and componentsand ammunition that may have been illicitly manufactured or trafficked.
