Test condition : Application of TS:
0.01 ml of the TS was applied on the clipped belly skin of each of five
rabbits for 24 hours without being covered.
If the TS was undiluted or diluted in water, propylene glycol, or acetone
was not mentioned.
Grading:
Primary skin irritation on rabbits is recorded in a 10-grade ordinal series
and is based upon the severest reaction that develops
Grade 1 indicates no irritation and
Grade 2 the least visible capillary injection from the undiluted test

no redness of the conjunctiva and no edema and no lacrimation was
observed in rabbit one and two and in rabbit two additionally the findings in
the iris had disappeared.
