<strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong> request, the line items for the CMRR and UPF projects will display Total Project Costs<br />

(TPCs), which includes Construction and OPCs.<br />

• Kansas City Plant (KCP) 117,895 186,102 156,217<br />

RTBF Operations <strong>of</strong> Facilities at KCP <strong>of</strong>fers capabilities in support <strong>of</strong> the nuclear security<br />

enterprise, such as: manufacturing and acquisition <strong>of</strong> non-nuclear parts; and production<br />

capabilities including electronics, machining, and plastics.<br />

In <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, funding will support continued operation and required maintenance costs at the<br />

current facility and continued transition into a new facility with minimum disruptions as laid out<br />

in the Kansas City Responsive Infrastructure Manufacturing and Sourcing (KCRIMS)<br />

transformation plan. Funding for KCRIMS supports critical capital purchases and unique<br />

facility upgrades for utility and interior requirements.<br />

Also in <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, efforts will continue on execution <strong>of</strong> the comprehensive project plan to<br />

establish a Kansas City based Supply Chain Management Center to gain efficiencies and savings<br />

from consolidation <strong>of</strong> procurement systems, supplier management, contracting agreements.<br />

In <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, funding will support continued operation and required maintenance costs at the<br />

current facility. In anticipation <strong>of</strong> the move to a new facility, KCP is being operated in a<br />

“run to replacement” mode, where maintenance for continued safe operations will be<br />

performed, and selected facility and equipment maintenance will be allowed to grow until<br />

the replacement facility at Botts Road is operational.<br />

Kansas City Responsive Infrastructure<br />

Manufacturing and Sourcing (KCRIMS) 49,887 107,577 71,000<br />

In <strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, funding will support continued transition into a new facility with minimum<br />

disruptions as laid out in the Kansas City Responsive Infrastructure Manufacturing and<br />

Sourcing (KCRIMS) transformation plan. Funding includes approximately $5,000,000 for<br />

the KCRIMS lease and $65,000,000 for the relocation <strong>of</strong> equipment and personnel to the new<br />

Botts Road facility. <strong>The</strong> request for KCRIMS includes the restoration <strong>of</strong> $20,000,000 that<br />

was utilized as a source to support the <strong>FY</strong> 2010 B61 reprogramming request.<br />
