Graded Security Protection Policy<br />

GSP policy funding provided for implementation <strong>of</strong> the 2008 GSP policy in accordance<br />

with approved implementation plans. <strong>The</strong> <strong>FY</strong> 2010 Appropriation included $10,000,000<br />

for security upgrades promulgated in the 2004 DBT Special Annex letter and incorporated<br />

into the 2008 Graded Security Protection Policy. Funding to continue GSP upgrades has<br />

been integrated into functional categories.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Construction program includes the cost <strong>of</strong> new and ongoing line-item construction projects<br />

that support the safeguards and security mission within the nuclear security enterprise.<br />

<strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong> funding <strong>of</strong> $11,752,000 supports the construction phase <strong>of</strong> the Nuclear Materials<br />

Safeguards and Security Upgrades (NMSSUP) II project, 08-D-701, at the Los Alamos<br />

National Laboratory.<br />
