Description<br />

Within the STA Operations and Equipment Activity, four subprograms make unique contributions to the<br />

GPRA Unit Program Number 43 regarding the safety and security <strong>of</strong> the nuclear stockpile. <strong>The</strong>se<br />

subprograms accomplish the following: (1) Mission Capacity - provides agent candidate training to<br />

maintain federal agent workforce, provides mission-essential agent equipment, maintains and expands<br />

the transportation fleet and provides aviation services; (2) Security/Safety Capability - develops and<br />

implements new fleet technologies, intensifies agent training, and implements Security, Safety, and<br />

Emergency Response programs; (3) Infrastructure and C5 systems - provides facility maintenance,<br />

support for minor construction projects, and C5 systems; and (4) Program Management - provides<br />

corporate functions and business operations that control, assist, and direct secure transport operations.<br />
