(2) Weapon Surveillance: conduct surveillance activities to provide the National<br />

Laboratory Directors with robust state-<strong>of</strong>-health nuclear weapon data necessary to<br />

complete Weapon Reliability and Annual Assessment Reports, these activities<br />

include: disassembly and inspection, system-level laboratory and joint flight<br />

testing, component and material evaluations, and platform compatibility and testing<br />

activities;<br />

(3) Weapon Assessment and Support: conduct weapon assessment and certification<br />

activities necessary to complete Weapon Reliability and Annual Assessment<br />

Reports, to include: laboratory/site testing and analysis, trainer refurbishments,<br />

Project Officer’s Group (POG) and DoD safety studies; significant finding<br />

investigations; and<br />

(4) Development Studies/Capability Improvements: conduct feasibility studies as<br />

required in conjunction with the DoD, execute replacement activities including: new<br />

container procurements for field component exchanges, system integration <strong>of</strong> the<br />

new common B61/B83 NG; and replacement <strong>of</strong> end-<strong>of</strong>-life B61 joint test assembly<br />

flight recorders and system-level laboratory testers.<br />

B61 Phase 6.2/6.2A Study 54,739 251,641 0<br />

<strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong> mission scope for the Phase 6.2/6.2A study will be complete, and pending the<br />

expected NWC authorization, funding for B61 Phase 6.3 Development Engineering<br />

transferred to the B61 LEP section.<br />

W76 Stockpile Systems 65,451 64,521 63,383<br />

<strong>The</strong> W76-0 is a strategic warhead in the SLBM force. <strong>The</strong> United States Navy deploys this<br />

weapon on the Trident II (D5) Strategic Weapon System.<br />

In accordance with National Requirements Documents and/or Directive Schedules,<br />

<strong>FY</strong> <strong>2012</strong> mission scope includes:<br />

(1) Weapon Maintenance: produce LLCs/perform LLCEs on GTSs and NGs as required;<br />

execute repair, maintenance, and replacement <strong>of</strong> aging weapon components,<br />

(2) Weapon Surveillance: conduct surveillance activities to provide the National<br />

Laboratory Directors with state-<strong>of</strong>-health nuclear weapon data necessary to complete<br />

Weapon Reliability and Annual Assessment Reports, these activities include:<br />

disassembly and inspection, system-level laboratory and joint flight testing, component<br />

and material evaluations, and platform compatibility and testing activities;<br />
