The Diploma <strong>of</strong> Liberal Arts is a humanities and social science oriented course<br />
which prepares students for further studies in this area or to enter the workforce<br />
in a variety <strong>of</strong> fields. In particular the course is geared to cater for mature-aged<br />
persons who wish to study an arts, humanities or social science program <strong>of</strong>fered<br />
at a university, or who do not have a Year 12 or equivalent. The course is also<br />
suitable for Exit Year 12 students wishing to study a humanities based course.<br />

Successful completion <strong>of</strong> the program enables students to apply for entry to a<br />
number <strong>of</strong> degree courses in the humanities and social sciences.<br />

There are two intakes <strong>of</strong> students into the program, one each semester. Students<br />
may exit the course after successful completion <strong>of</strong> the first year <strong>of</strong> the course and<br />
