Technologies
This introductory course has been designed especially for those who require a
thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products.
Campus
Croydon; Online
Course duration
The program is nominally 100 Hours, studied on-line or through flexible delivery.
Structure
Students select five of the following six modules: Word, Excel, Access, MS
Publisher, PowerPoint and Windows. For each module the student receives a
comprehensive manual and tutorial support using email. Progress is monitored by
computer managed learning software known as "The Learning Manager", which
also issues and receives assignments and review tests.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have access to a 486 microcomputer or better, capable of
running the MS Office 97 suite, and access to the Internet and the World Wide
Web.

The Department of Arts offers a part-time program of study in Indigenous Art and
Design, mainly based at the Healesville campus with classes at Wantirna campus.
The program comprises foundation studies in art, craft and design as well as
studies in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art and Culture. Later stages of the
program contain Business and Enterprise modules enabling students to prepare
art and craft work for marketing and sales. The program involves staff from the
Department as well as Aboriginal artists teaching traditional art and craft forms.
Aims & Objectives
The course aims to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the
development of their artistic skills to a professional level which reflects an
awareness of identity and pride in their culture and enables them to participate in
community activities and/or seek further study or employment.

and Certificate IV.
