Aims & Objectives<br />
Safe Handling <strong>of</strong>LPG (8 hours): To provide the participant with the knowledge and<br />
skills necessary to: work safely on LPG vehicles; handle and transfer the fuel<br />
safely; establish and maintain a safe workshop environment.<br />
System Components (12 hours): To provide the participant with the knowledge <strong>of</strong><br />
the function and operation <strong>of</strong> LPG components. This is essential background<br />
information for the following LPG modules: LPG fitting procedures; engine tuning;<br />
fault diagnosis; vehicle installation.<br />
Fitting Procedures (16 hours): To provide the participant with knowledge <strong>of</strong>the<br />
fitting regulations and the practical skills required for fitting LPS equipmentto<br />
motor vehicles.<br />
Engine Tuning (8 hours): To provide the participant with the knowledge and practical<br />
skills necessary to correctly tune LPG vehicles, including a 'closed loop' system.<br />
Fault Diagnosis (8 hours): To provide the participant with the knowledge and<br />
practical skills necessary to diagnose the cause <strong>of</strong>: engine mechanical problems;<br />
LPG component problems; performance problems on LPG powered vehicles.<br />
Vehicle Installation (16 hours): To allow the studentto apply the knowledge and<br />
skills developed in the previous modules, on a complete vehicle installation.<br />
