Structure<br />
This course is delivered in a classroom setting and with one-on-one tuition. There<br />
is an emphasis on workshopping student's work. Each module has a workload <strong>of</strong><br />
68 hours whether in contact with staff or in private study. Each 68 hour module is<br />
equivalent to one unit. Three core subjects and three electives are taken in first<br />
year to make a total workload <strong>of</strong> 10 units. Four electives are taken in second year<br />
to make a total <strong>of</strong> 8 units. The weekly workload is 20 hours for first year and 16<br />
hours for second year on-campus plus study at home.<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> this course is to provide training for individuals who wish to<br />
pursue or enhance their careers as theatre technicians in the area <strong>of</strong> costume<br />
making in related areas. This course combines theory and practical studies,<br />
industry simulation, and industrial placement. to enhance students' overall<br />
knowledge, experience and networks.<br />
This Diploma course incorporates the Certificate IV in Entertainment ICostume).<br />
On successful completion <strong>of</strong> the Certificate IV, students may choose to progress to<br />
the Diploma or exit with a Certificate IV in Entertainment ICostume).<br />
