Certificate IV in Electrical<br />

The electrical courses are designed to prepare students wishing to gain an<br />

electrical apprenticeship and the electrical apprentice training required to become<br />

a qualified electrician. Post-trade training is available to become qualified at<br />

Certificate III in Electrotechnology<br />

(Systems Electrician)<br />

This course is designed for people who are employed as electrical apprentices.<br />

The course provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to work at<br />

trade level within the electrical and electronics industry. Post trade training is also<br />

available to become qualified at Certificate IV in Electrical level.<br />

Career opportunities<br />

Employment as a registered electrician. It also provides a foundation for<br />

Certificate IV and Diploma courses in Electrical and Electronics.<br />

Course duration<br />

Three years part-time (960 hours).<br />

Structure<br />

Students undertake 24 modules which are made up <strong>of</strong> 800 hours <strong>of</strong> core and 160<br />

hours <strong>of</strong> elective rnodules.<br />
