Designed to provide the student with an understanding <strong>of</strong> the basic nutritional<br />

requirements <strong>of</strong>the human body at various stages throughout life. These would include<br />

neonates, infants, adolescents, adults and the elderly. The course work will contain<br />

particular reference to diets in diseased states, and the importance <strong>of</strong> nutrition<br />

throughout life. In addition, the module is designed to give the student skills at<br />

recognising abnormal elimination status in a patient. The student will be given the skills<br />

to measure, record and discuss the elimination status <strong>of</strong> patients and to assist the<br />

patientto meetthose requirements <strong>of</strong> marna I elimination.<br />
