This Unit <strong>of</strong> Competency is concerned with planning the revegetation <strong>of</strong> disturbed,<br />

degraded or remnant natural sites involving analysis <strong>of</strong> the site, plant selection and the<br />

preparation <strong>of</strong> maintenance plans. This unit is applicable to a site that incorporates<br />

indigenous and non-indigenous species. Planning <strong>of</strong> revegetation works is likely to be<br />

undertaken without supervision with only general guidance on progress sought by higher<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficers. This unit involves the application <strong>of</strong> broad knowledge with depth in some areas<br />

such as plant recognition and selection, weed control principles and revegetation<br />
