The Diploma <strong>of</strong> Business (Banking and Finance) provides in depth training for<br />

people who currently work, or are seeking ernployment in the banking and finance<br />

industry.<br />

Aims & Objectives<br />

The aim <strong>of</strong> the training is to develop and enhance the skills and knowledge in<br />

accounting. law and financial management for a career as bank branch manager,<br />

or for people engaged in specialised functions in a large branch or head <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />

Graduates are academically qualified for membership <strong>of</strong> the Australian Institute <strong>of</strong><br />

Banking and Finance.<br />

Course duration<br />

Eighteen months fUll-time or three years part-time. Part-time study is conducted<br />

mainly in the evening, however classes are available during the day.<br />

Structure<br />

The Diploma <strong>of</strong> Business (Banking and Finance) is <strong>of</strong>fered to fUll-time students in<br />

conjunction with the Diploma <strong>of</strong> Business (Accounting). The two diplomas take<br />

approximately two years to complete. Part-time students may choose to complete<br />

one or both <strong>of</strong> these diplomas.<br />
