This module examines the nature and role <strong>of</strong>financial institutions and markets within<br />
the Australian financial system. It reviews the current structure and role <strong>of</strong> Australia's<br />
financial system, the range and diversity <strong>of</strong> financial instruments used and the role <strong>of</strong><br />
the Reserve Bank in a deregulated financial system. Upon completion <strong>of</strong>the module,<br />

with emphasis on the evolution <strong>of</strong> the Reserve Bank.<br />
