The Advanced Diploma <strong>of</strong> Engineering Technology incorporates the Diploma <strong>of</strong><br />
Engineering Technology and aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills<br />
required for a career in manufacturing and mechanical engineering.<br />

Career opportunities<br />
Opportunities include production supervisor, production planner, production<br />
controller, tool design, drafting technician, estimator, plant and equipment sales<br />
agent. CAD students are qualified for positions such as design drafts persons,<br />
project engineer, contracts engineer, sales engineer technical <strong>of</strong>ficer.<br />
Course duration<br />
Two years full-time or four years part-time.<br />
Structure<br />
The Advanced Diploma <strong>of</strong> Engineering Technology incorporates the Diploma <strong>of</strong><br />
Engineering Technology. In the first year, students complete 15 modules at the<br />
Diploma level and select either a mechanical, manufacturing or CAD stream at the<br />
Advanced Diploma level in the second year. Six higher level trade modules from<br />
the Post Trade Certificate can be credited to this course.<br />
