The Advanced Diploma <strong>of</strong> Business (Human Resource Management) incorporates<br />
the Certificate IV in Business (Human Resource Operations) and Diploma <strong>of</strong><br />
Business (Human Resource Practice). The Certificate level is designed to provide a<br />
broad grounding in generic workplace skills and knowledge <strong>of</strong> human resource<br />
operations.<br />
The Diploma is designed to develop a set <strong>of</strong> human resource competencies to<br />
enable the participant to work in a specific human resource role. The Advanced<br />
Diploma aims to extend and broaden the training provided in the Diploma, and<br />
develop skills in management and business operations.<br />

Career opportunities<br />
Certificate/Diploma: Employment as support staff in personnel, human resource<br />
management.<br />
Advanced Diploma: Management positions in HR organisations or departments.<br />
Course duration<br />
Certificate IV: Six to eight months full-time (Croydon campus only), one and a half<br />
to two years part-time.<br />
Diploma: One to one and a half years full-time (Croydon campus only), two and a<br />
half to four years part-time.<br />
Advanced Diploma: One and a half to two years full-time (Croydon campus only)<br />
or three to five years part-time.<br />
Structure<br />
To enter the Advanced Diploma level, students must successfully complete the<br />
Certificate IV and Diploma levels <strong>of</strong> the program. Part-time study is conducted in<br />
the evening or Saturday workshops. However, some classes may be available<br />
during the day, Monday to Friday.<br />
