letters attached thereto, we begin at:<br />

A. The Stomach. This organ is a pear-shaped muscular bag, holding over<br />

a quart. The food enters the stomach, after being chewed by the teeth;<br />

manipulated by the lips, tongue and cheeks; and moistened and softened<br />

by the saliva, which fluid also has a chemical action on the food, changing<br />
