Within the shortest possible period, each of the parties to the conflict shall give itsNational POW Information Bureau the information referred to in the fourth, fifth, and sixthparagraphs of Article 122 of the GPW regarding any enemy person belonging to one of thecategories referred to in Article 4 who has fallen into its power. 756 Neutral or non-belligerentPowers shall take the same action with regard to persons belonging to such categories whomthey have received within their territory. 757All written communications made by the National POW Information Bureau shall beauthenticated by a signature or a seal. 758The National POW Information Bureau: (1) receives and forwards certain information tothe Powers concerned through the intermediary of the Protecting Powers and the Central POWInformation Agency; (2) replies to inquiries; and (3) collects personal valuables left by POWs.9.31.2.1 Receiving and Forwarding Certain Information. The National POWInformation Bureau receives certain information regarding POWs from other departments of theState to which it belongs. 759The National POW Information Bureau shall immediately forward such information bythe most rapid means to the Powers concerned through the intermediary of the Protecting Powersand likewise of the Central POW Information Agency provided for in Article 123 of the GPW. 7609.31.2.2 Replying to Inquiries Regarding POWs.
